Scottish Futsal Cup

We travelled to Dundee to face Futsal Club 33 who were unbeaten all season in the SFL Dundee League campaign and recently crowned champions as well as already defeating super league opposition so we knew it was going to be a tough game.

We fell behind early on but thankfully a quick response from Adam Binnie seen us draw level and we then went Infront thanks to 15 year old Liam Kennedy before being pegged back and unfortunately lost our GK just before half time and a goal from the resulting free kick where stand in goalkeeper Josh Farquhar had no chance. . . . When we stand in, Josh is not a goalkeeper by any stretch of imagination but at 16 years old took responsibility in the situation.

The second half we still felt confident that we could get ourselves into the next round and we pilled on the pressure and it paid off with Liam Kennedy bringing us level and then putting us in front to be pegged back but with 2 minutes to play it was that man again . . . Liam Kennedy who broke through, sat the goalkeeper down and put the ball into an empty net to send Joga through to the next round.

15 year old Liam Kennedy bagging 4 goals to see Joga through and a huge shout out to Josh Farquhar who stepped up in a time of need and pulled off some key saves to ensure we make it into the quarter final.

The quarter final has been made and Joga Futsal will face Huntly Old Boys of Aberdeen on the 17th of March 7.10pm KO at DISC in Dundee
