Joga in Paris

Joga U13 travelled to Paris to participate in the Noisel Futsal Cup 2024 in attendance with clubs from across France, Belgium and Italy we had the great pleasure of putting Scottish Futsal on show.

As well as the tournament we also managed to arrange a friendly with our old french friends, B2M Futsal who we have faced in previous tournaments in Italy and built a great relationship so it was a pleasure to once again share the court with our friends.

To the tournament, we unfortunately lost out in all three group games, albeit narrowly it was a quick learning experience for the players. Competing aginst Futsal clubs in Europe is a whole different game in comparison to what we face in Scotland, these teams train more often and have regular matches purely as futsal clubs so it’s always going to be hard but we certainly weren’t far away and did have the eventual champions in our group too.

The second day seen us grab two victories and a loss, our last game a real testament of how far the group progressed & came together over the three days with losing 3-0 we managed to pull it back to get a 4-3 victory in the last moments of the game.

We leave although disappointed with our placings in the tournament, we are proud of the efforts of all the players & parents throughout the two days.
